Hardcover, First Edition, 6 1/4 x 8 3/4", 193 pp. no dust jacket, inscribed by the author to Biacna Conti, well known San Francisco photographer in the Arnold Genthe studio, brown boards with tan cloth spine wrap, front hinge cracked, edges bumped with board showing, untrimmed pages, over 100 tipped-in photos, in very good condition. A lovely book with many pictures of these distinguished women in full formal dress for their time. The writing is about the these elite women, whose civil service and chartiable contributions toward the San Francisco's Panama Pacific International Exposition in 1915, entertainment, receptions for dignitaries and many other California events and functions was recorded herein.
