Hardcover, 8th edition, 3 3/4 x 5 1/2", 136 pp, blue clother over boards with gilt red lettering to cover and spine, black and white illustrations and photos throughout, some foxing, very good condition. Jacob Biggle wrote extensively on subjects that were important in the early 1900s, and which remain important now. His "Farm Library" series consists of Ten Fabulous Books: The Biggle Horse Book, Cow Book, Garden Book, Berry Book, Orchard Book, Pet Book, Poultry Book, Sheep Book, Bee Book, and Swine Book. Each book is illustrated and together this collection is over 1700 pages of fascinating and detailed information from a time when the importance or raising food and livestock was essential to whether one ate, or not.
