London: George Routledge and Sons, c 1871. Hardcover, 8 1/2 x 11". 503 pp., n.d. but probable later edition, either 1871 or 1874. Green decorative cloth over boards, gilt letting and decorations to cover and spine, edge-wear and corner bumping where boards are showing through, some fading to dye on front cover and a small stain, previous owner's name on front paste-down endpaper with some ink splatter on same, some netting showing through on hinge but still attached, some foxing, tissue guard to frontispiece still inact, good condition. Translated by H. W. Dulcken, Ph.D., engrave by the Brothers Dalziel with 120 illustrations by A. W. Bayes. A lovely sequel to Hans C. Andersen's "Storied and Tales," published in 1864.
