Hardcover, First Edition, 5 3/4 x 9", 24 pp. limited to 500 copies, stiff paper illustrated boards with gilt stamped lettering on spine, spine is pulling away from book, slight rubbing and edge wear, interior has slight foxing, good condition. The address given at the opening of the Library of Congress California Centennial Exhibit by Carl I. Wheat. Mr. Wheat was a prolific writer of California History. The Historical Society of Southern California still bestows an annual Carl I. Wheat award for the best demonstration of scholarship in the Southern California Quarterly by a senior historian.
